In this lesson, I learned a lot on how to create an effective presentation. Advanced Presentation Skills talks about the skills in using Presentation Software. It is application software that allows the user to create visual aids for presentations to communicate ideas, messages, and other info to a group. One of the presentation software and commonly used is the Microsoft PowerPoint wherein slides are used to convey information and messages.
TIPS ON CREATING AN EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION
Minimize- most information should still come from the reporter so the slides should be not too many.
Clarity- use a font style that is not too fancy and use a font size that can be easy to read. Also, consider how big the screen
Simplicity- use bullets or short sentences. Limit the content to six lines and seven words per line. This is known as the 6 x 7 rule.
Visuals- you can use graphics but don't put too many of it
Consistency- use only one design for every slide
Contrast- use a light font on a dark background or vice versa
TYPES OF VIEWS IN MICROSOFT POWERPOINT
Normal View- simplified the layout of the page so you can quickly key, edit, and format the test.
Notes Page View- displays yours slides on the top portion of the page, with the speaker notes for each slide in the notes pane on the bottom of the pane.
Outline View- displays all of the text in a PowerPoint slide show in outline form regardless of the design, objects, and animations.
